Pulley Maven

Design and analyze conveyor pulleys in your browser. Pulley Maven runs finite element analysis on cloud servers, so there is no software to install.

  • Evaluate running, maximum and design load cases.
  • Check shaft and end-disk stresses against industry design criteria.
  • Estimate manufacturing costs with bills of materials and operations on higher subscription plans.

Before you download

A few practical questions.

Can I explore the apps before subscribing?

All eight Apple apps are free to download. Sidewall Maven and Bucket Maven include read-only examples; Fabric Belt Splice and Motor Maven let you explore included examples. Paid access unlocks the editing, calculations or exports described on each product page. Splice Maven QA provides all QC features for free, with an optional purchase to remove dashboard advertising.

Which Apple devices are supported?

Check the platform label on each app card, then review Apple’s compatibility section for the required OS version. Belt Installation Maven supports iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Vision Pro; Fabric Belt Splice supports iPhone, iPad and Mac; Motor Maven supports Mac and Apple Vision Pro. Other apps have their own supported platforms.

How do I choose between splice design and splice quality control?

Fabric Belt Splice plans step and finger splice geometry and prepares drawings and build instructions. Splice Maven QA records the inspections, process readings, photos and signatures from the job. They serve different stages of the work.

Where can I find support, privacy and subscription terms?

Each product page links to its support, privacy and applicable terms. You can also use the app privacy and support directory at the bottom of this page. Email support@mavensoftware.ai with an app question.

Conveyor engineering courses

Courses developed and taught by Dr. Andrew I. Hustrulid — onsite for companies, and through Colorado School of Mines, SME and EduMine.

Pulley Engineering and Design

The first course devoted to the conveyor pulley: shaft, shell, end disk and locking assembly from first principles to the shop floor, taught to your engineering team on your own pulleys. For pulley manufacturers, companies entering pulley manufacturing, and the end users who depend on them.

Onsite at your facility · 4 days · Two-page overview (PDF)

Conveyor Systems 101 – Foundations, Design & System Understanding

An introduction to conveyor belt systems in mining, aggregate, and bulk-material handling: how conveyors are constructed and designed, how each component works, and the safety practices that keep them running reliably.

EduMine · Online, 6 hours · Introductory

Conveyor Systems 102 – Operations, Maintenance & Value

Builds on Conveyor Systems 101, covering inspection routines, belt tracking and troubleshooting, preventive and predictive maintenance, and the real cost of carryback, spillage, and downtime.

EduMine · Online, 6 hours · Intermediate

Tracking Maven · Belt tracking review

Tracking problems you can’t sort out?

Send us a video of 2½ complete belt revolutions at the tail or take-up. Tracking Maven will generate a tracking profile of your belt.

Watch the splice section pass in our example video, with the belt and rollers identified and the tracking profile following the belt’s movement.

Watch the video & request a profile How to record your belt

Tracking Maven identifies the belt and rollers, with a synchronized tracking profile graph in the lower right.
